Hart Shoreditch to Partner with Rosie Reed Gold for 2025 Edition of London Design Festival
Hart Shoreditch is delighted to announce its London Design Festival partnership for 2025 with transdisciplinary artist Rosie Reed Gold to create ‘Stage Left, Letter Pressed’, an exhibition which honours the written history of East London. Hart Shoreditch is excited to once again join the London Design Festival and Shoreditch Design Triangle to celebrate the area’s creative energy and support local artists and designers. Based in East London, Rosie Reed Gold is a multimedia artist, poet and photographer. Having studied English and Philosophy, she moved her focus towards working together with people from different fields and a deep interest in understanding the mind. Rosie’s studies are mirrored in her work and she uses a range of different methods including drawing, photography, and poetry to explore and trace the transitional space between thought and action - the moment where integration is possible. Rosie is particularly interested in the role collaboration and interactivity play in negotiating the boundaries of perception and encouraging connection between people. Rosie’s partnership with Hart Shoreditch began recently with her curated exhibition titled ‘Linger’ at the hotel, featuring photographs which explore the effect of light throughout the seasons. The exhibition focuses on how people might become more familiar and even comfortable with the uncertainty that seasonal changes bring, seeing the beauty within it, when observing and experiencing seasons of change. Rosie’s latest project, ‘Stage Left, Letter Pressed,’ created in partnership with Hart Shoreditch for London Design Festival, will celebrate the written history of East London. Inspired by Shoreditch’s historical connection to the Curtain theatre, where some of Shakespeare’s earlier plays, including Romeo and Juliet were performed, as well as the craftsmanship of the Caslon Letterpress Foundry in Hackney Wick, this exhibition explores the cartography of language. Involving installation, video, sound and interactive pieces, it is not just a show, but a collaboration between the artist, the hotel, and its guests. The exhibition showcases Hart Shoreditch’s ongoing commitment to support local artists and entrepreneurs and be a hub of creativity within London’s vibrant East End. ‘Stage Left, Letter Pressed’ at Hart Shoreditch will take place throughout September 2025.
