Before the Moonshot Assembly on 20th September, we are kicking things off with an informal evening over drinks in central London; a chance for designers to connect, share perspectives, and dive into a big question: “What does design leadership look like in today’s world?”

The evening invites mid-level designers curious about stepping into leadership, design leaders navigating the challenges of global teams, and anyone interested in the nuances of leadership in design. The conversation will revolve around questions such as: • How is design leadership evolving across different geographies? • What does leadership entail beyond titles and org charts? • How can designers transition into leadership roles without losing their creative edge? • What unseen challenges and skills define great design leaders today? Attendees will leave with: • Fresh perspectives from peers across industries • Candid stories from experienced design leaders • New connections to carry into the Moonshot Assembly and beyond Who should join: Designers from any industry or organisation who are curious about leadership, whether already in the role, aspiring to it, or simply intrigued by the shifts happening in this space. Why attend: This gathering is more than a networking evening. It is a space to ask real questions, share unfiltered experiences, and challenge assumptions about what leadership in design truly means. The first round of drinks is on the house.
