Last year’s winner of the Emerging Design Medal, POoR Collective have designed a community inspired installation, which is on display in Turbine Hall A inside the iconic Battersea Power Station.

"Together In Battersea" is inspired by the ideas and designs of local Wandsworth residents under the age of 18 who attended a series of workshops hosted at the Power Station in August 2024, themed around ‘What does Battersea mean to you?’. The installation follows POoR Collective’s recent collaboration with Battersea Power Station, "Together We Rise", which is still on display inside the London landmark. The artwork featuring over 100 flags suspended from the ceiling in the Grade II* listed building’s turbine halls depicts the journey through sunrise and sunset with bright colours and bold designs. POoR Collective is a London-based studio – founded in 2019 by architects Shawn Adams, Larry Botchway and Ben Spry, and accountant Matt Harvey-Agyemang – that seeks to elevate young people and give them access to the design industry via programmes and engagement, helping harness emerging voices as the industry impresarios of the future. Installation open 20th September - 20th October
