Vitra and Artek present exciting new launches at Tramshed, Vitra and Artek’s London showroom for LDF24. Vitra will be introducing Anagram, a new sofa system designed by Panter&Tourron. The Gallery at Tramshed will be showcasing a new collection called 'Artek Reimagined by Paul Smith'.

Anagram, developed by Vitra and launching early September 2024, aims to meet the changing needs of modern consumers. Designers, architects, and furniture makers are challenged with creating adaptable interiors that can easily transform for various activities, reflecting contemporary lifestyles. During the London Design Festival, Vitra will present “a landscape of Anagram” on the ground floor at Tramshed. This will give visitors the chance to experience the new modular sofa system and enjoy a moment of respite from the busy Festival. The Gallery at Tramshed will be showcasing a new collection called “Artek Reimagined by Paul Smith” in collaboration with the eponymous British design company. The collection features three Artek products designed by Alvar Aalto: Stool 60, Screen 100, and Coat Rack 109, each infused with Sir Paul Smith's distinctive visual style. This special installation at the London Design Festival aims to emphasise the connection between interior and fashion design, showcasing the shared values of innovation, lasting quality, and human-centric design between the two collaborators. The products in this distinctive collection have been reimagined with Paul Smith’s signature stripe motif. Instead of the bright, vivid colours that have been characteristic of Paul Smith’s clothing for many years, this collection features a limited palette of subtly different wood stains. A special Stool 60 edition has been made using four different wood colours, along with a vibrant ultramarine blue on the underside, while Screen 100 and Coat Rack 109 use a stripe pattern with five wood colours, incorporating two of Artek’s standard finishes and three custom stains. These pieces will be available for the public to buy, making it possible for design enthusiasts to own a part of this unique collaboration.
