Celebrating exceptional timber design and innovation
The Wood Awards exhibition at Gallery@OXO will showcase the shortlisted buildings, furniture and products for the Wood Awards 2023. The Wood Awards is the UK’s premier competition for excellence in architecture and product design in wood. Established in 1971, the Wood Awards recognises, encourages and promotes outstanding wood design, construction and installation. For the second year running, the Wood Awards is partnering with Material Matters to showcase the awards shortlist and celebrate the beauty and versatility of timber in contemporary architecture and furniture. Featuring inspiring work from some of the most interesting contemporary architects, designers and makers working with wood in the UK, the shortlist exhibition demonstrates how timber can transform and enrich our lives - and contribute to positive change in the built environment. All shortlisted furniture items will be displayed alongside presentations of the shortlisted buildings, together telling a powerful narrative about what can be achieved using timber in design and architecture.
