Helena Patelisová presents her collection of porcelain vases ROOTS, in which she explores the hidden essence of plants. She believes that the true vitality of a plant is invisible, embraced by the earth.

The series symbolizes the strength and rejuvenation of the roots and offers a unique insight into an often-overlooked side of botanical wonders. Oscar Wilde once remarked: "Better to take pleasure in a rose than to put its root under the microscope." Helena, in turn, challenges the audience to reconsider and asks if we have underestimated the importance of this hidden element. The collection presents the resilient roots, usually thought of as weeds, in captivating cobalt to ultramarine hues - a symbol of profound value. Each piece tells a unique story as she handcrafts the roots into vases, leaving the tops partially to chance. ROOTS celebrates the invisible, a poetic homage to resilience and the beauty hidden beneath the surface.
