Josef Koppmann, Oxo Tower Wharf

Opening his Oxo Tower Wharf studio in 2008, jeweller Josef Koppmann creates individually crafted collections constructed and forged from sterling silver and 24ct gold.

Josef’s handmade sculptural and geometric forms are fused together using traditional techniques, and the abstract texture that results reveal the intense colour of the 24ct gold, while contrasting with the gentle and cool shimmer of the silver. Vibrant gemstones, carefully chosen for their unique quality and cut, form the central aspect of every piece. During London Design Festival, Josef will be hosting Form and Flow, an exhibition of applied art in jewellery in collaboration with Dutch jewellery designer Vincent van Hees. Inspired by sculptural and architectural practice, Vincent is on a quest to express perfectly the tension between form and flow. His pieces embody the principle that the beauty of high art and design can be available for enjoyment every day. The style is effortless, modest, and contemporary with an added edge. Find Form and Flow at Josef Koppmann’s studio at Unit 1.06 on the First Floor Riverside of Oxo Tower Wharf, open 11am – 6pm on Saturday 14th – Saturday 21st September 2024.
