Landlines is an installation exploring the mission and process of British Pasture Leather in photographs by Jason Lowe and furniture designs by OTZI Studio. British Pasture Leather connects design with thriving landscapes through the production of leather that originates on regenerative farms.
In Landlines, the furniture of OTZI Studio celebrates the beauty and distinctiveness of British Pasture Leather and photographs by Jason Lowe show its journey from farm to tannery to workshop. With a mission to connect design with thriving landscapes, British Pasture Leather is made from the hides of pasture-fed cattle raised on regenerative farms in the UK. This is achieved by working with a network of farms certified by Pasture for Life, an organisation that champions the restorative power of grazing animals on pasture, an approach that delivers positive impacts for biodiversity, soil, animal health and wildlife habitats. This exhibition invites visitors to reconsider the material of leather in this context – by revealing the origins and production of British Pasture Leather in striking photographs from farm to tannery to workshop, and its ultimate expression in furniture that is designed with a sense of craft, provenance and natural character.
