The Material Matters live talks programme delivers fascinating insights, views and debates on materials, innovation, design and architecture. Curated by Grant Gibson, co-founder of Material Matters, two talks on each day of the fair will feature leading experts illustrating why material intelligence is so important.

Conversations with and insights from material, design and architecture experts define Material Matters. The Material Matters with Grant Gibson podcast was launched in 2019. Now 100 episodes strong with 450,000 individual listens, it is the go-to listen for anyone interested in human relationships with materials and the importance of material intelligence. Episodes include guests such as designers Piet Hein Eek, Yinka Illori, Ineke Hans and Doshi Levien, alongside architects such as Nigel Coates, Andrew Waugh and Summer Islam, as well as influential figures such as Paola Antonelli, Aric Chen and LDF founder Sir John Sorrell. Listen to the Material Matters podcast via materialmatters.design/podcast or via Spotify, Apple Podcasts etc. The live talks programme at the Material Matters fair is developed with the same passion for uncovering knowledge and appreciation for materials and their potential to inform our lives. For full details and timings visit materialmatters.design/talks The talks programme follows Material Matters' recent collaboration with Copenhagen-based design research studio SPACE10 on a half-day symposium, Materials of Tomorrow, as part of the 3daysofdesign festival in June. The event explored how we can create new sustainable systems for design and architecture by rethinking the materials we use. And what do renewable, biodegradable, up-cycled, and non-toxic materials look like in tomorrow's homes?
