Global Design Forum: (In)finite Realities

How do cities emerge, decline, and relocate as creative hubs? What happens when the "centre" moves, and how might re-bordering help us see design not as tied to one place, but as something fluid and always in motion? This session will explore the contested idea of geographical-centricity within the landscape of creative and cultural production. We will unpack how confluence, contamination, migration, and collusion continually reshape London’s design culture from a global perspective, impinged upon by underlying factors like history, politics, and economic power shaping the city’s creative workforce. This will be a lively, audience-driven conversation, guided by spontaneous moderation. With thanks to our Curatorial Partner STIR.
