Presenting nine unique interpretations of the spectacle frame, designed by renowned creative practitioners including Yinka Ilori and David Shrigley, and handmade by Cubitts. The frames will be available to view in Cubitts Islington for the duration of LDF and auctioned online on behalf of creative arts charity,Create

Nine spectacle frames, each designed by a renowned creative practitioner and handmade by Cubitts in their King’s Cross workshop. Each participant – from the spheres of industrial and set design, fashion, and fine art – presents their own interpretation of the humble spectacle frame, incorporating secondary uses, anthropomorphic forms, personal allusions, unconventional materials, and experimental techniques. The exhibition features frames designed in collaboration with: Shona Heath Laxmi Hussain Yinka Ilori David Shrigley Jaimus Tailor Erica Toogood Faye Toogood Daniel Weil Wilfrid Wood For the duration of London Design Festival, the frames will be exhibited in Cubitts’ new Islington location, conceived as a gallery space for spectacles. The frames will be available to bid on in an online silent auction, with all proceeds donated to the UK’s leading creative arts charity, Create.
